I. Cancellation of Taxes on Certain Property Acquired by Indian <br />River County <br />The Board reviewed memo from Deputy County Attorney Will <br />Collins dated March 2, 1992: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: b0(_- William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: March 2, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: Cancellation of Taxes on Certain Property Acquired by Indian <br />River County <br />Attached for your consideration are two resolutions prepared for the purpose <br />of cancelling any delinquent or current taxes which may exist on the <br />following properties acquired by Indian River County for public purpose: <br />1. Lots 6 and 7, Block 45, ORIGINAL TOWN OF VERO (a/k/a TOWN. OF <br />INDIAN RIVER), according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat <br />Book 2, page 12, of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida; <br />said land now lying and being in Indian River County, Florida. <br />Acquired from S. R. Hubbard and Sally E. Hubbard for the new <br />courthouse site. (RES.#92-43) <br />2. A parcel of land lying in Section 23, Township 32 South, Range 39 <br />East, Indian River County, Florida (fully described in that Special <br />Warranty Deed recorded in O.R. Book 918, Page 480, Public Records of <br />Indian River County, Florida) . <br />Acquired from GHA Grand Harbor, Ltd., a Florida limited partnership <br />for construction of a Fire/EMS Station. ( RES. #92-44 ) <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />attached Resolutions and the Clerk to send certified copies of same to the <br />Tax Collector so that any delinquent or current taxes can be cancelled. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 92-43, canceling certain delinquent taxes <br />upon publicly -owned lands, as recommended by staff. <br />11 <br />L,Up d,s r e <br />�K rri�C IIP <br />MAR 10 1992 <br />2 <br />
