Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: February 19, 1992 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF DELINQUENT TAXES <br />R/W ACQUISITION - PARCEL 1019 C.R. 510 <br />The Tax Collector has requested that the County adopt the attached <br />resolution cancelling delinquent taxes on land which the County has <br />recently purchased. <br />RECOMNIENDED ACTION: Board authorize the Chairman to execute this <br />resolution and the Clerk to send a certified copy of it to the Tax <br />Collector so that the taxes can be cleared. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 92-45, canceling certain delinquent taxes <br />upon publicly -owned lands, as recommended by staff. <br />Re: CR #510 (Parcel #101) <br />2/20/02<Laff"13RESO/Vlc <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92- <br />A <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, CANCELLING CERTAIN DELINQUENT <br />TAXES UPON PUBLICLY -OWNED LANDS, <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 196.28, FLORIDA <br />STATUTES. <br />WHEREAS, section 196.28, Florida Statutes, allows the Board of County <br />Commissioners of each County to cancel and discharge any and all liens for <br />taxes, delinquent or current, held or owned by the county or the state, <br />upon lands heretofore or hereafter conveyed to or acquired - by any agency, <br />governmental subdivision, or municipality of the state, or the United States, <br />for road purposes, defense purposes, recreation, reforestation, or other <br />public use; and <br />14 <br />
