Thompson, P.E j <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Indian River Boulevard Phase III <br />Embankment Materials <br />DATE: March 8, 1992 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />FILE: irb3emb.agn <br />Indian River County has a borrow pit located at 4th Street <br />and 74th Avenue which currently contains both embankment <br />material and higher quality shell material. The contractor <br />for Indian River Boulevard Phase III, Sheltra and Son, would <br />like to excavate 20,000 CY of embankment material from this <br />pit for construction of Indian River Boulevard. <br />The borrow pit contains shell at a depth of 12 feet which is <br />overburdened by embankment material. The Road and Bridge <br />Division needs shell for improvements to unpaved roads. <br />Sheltra & Son is willing to excavate 20,000 Cy of shell for <br />the Road and Bridge Division in exchange for 20,000 CY of <br />embankment material for construction of Indian River <br />Boulevard. <br />38 <br />
