Commissioner Bowman recommended <br />that we not spend any money there until we have taken it over <br />in October, and Commissioner Bird concurred. All of this will <br />be considered at budget time along with all our priorities. <br />3) No action. Staff will come back to Board with a dollar <br />amount. <br />4) Commissioner Scurlock suggested that we continue to proceed in <br />an environmentally sound way with Commissioner Bird monitoring <br />the situation. Commissioner Bird stated he would*go to <br />Tallahassee if necessary. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT <br />DESIGNATING THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AS THE OFFICIAL COUNTY TOURIST <br />BUREAU <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/20/92: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: ;oci Wim G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: March 20, 1992 <br />SUBJECT: First Amendment to Contract with Chamber of Commerce <br />Designating Them as Official County Tourist Bureau <br />Based on operating experience of three years, the Chamber of Commerce has <br />proposed certain revisions to the existing agreement between the County and <br />the Chamber which designates the Chamber to function as the Official County <br />Tourist Bureau. <br />Attached is a proposed amendment to the agreement which sets out revisions <br />to the authorized uses, corrects the funding level for the County Tourist <br />Bureau as authorized by the Board last year, and provides a new clause <br />dealing with review and termination, as requested by the Tourist <br />Development Council. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the attached Resolution approving the First Amendment to the <br />Agreement Designating the Chamber of Commerce as the Official County <br />Tourist Bureau and authorize the Chairman of the Tourist Development <br />Council to execute the agreement on behalf of the Board. <br />75 <br />
