Tuesday, April 14, 1992 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, April 14, 1992, <br />at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Present were Carolyn K. Eggert, Chairman; <br />Margaret C. Bowman; Vice Chairman, Richard N. Bird, Gary C. <br />Wheeler, and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Also present were James E. <br />Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County <br />Attorney; and Patricia Held, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney, led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert requested the following additions: <br />1) Proclamation of Hurricane Week <br />2) Discussion of Martin Luther King, Jr.,; <br />Item 9.A.2., his birthday as a county holiday <br />Item 9.A.3., naming a street or park in his honor <br />3) Item 11.H.2., an Emergency Item regarding Heron Cay <br />Chairman Eggert requested that Item 11.G.1. be deleted because <br />it was approved last week and she apologized for not coordinating <br />with Public Works Director Jim Davis. <br />Commissioner Scurlock requested the addition of Item 13.D., a <br />request regarding the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously added and <br />deleted the above items on the Agenda. <br />w <br />HOC 86i F— <br />APR <br />
