APPROVAL OF CHANGES TO RULES AND REGULATIONS OF DEPARTMENT OF <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES <br />The Board reviewed memo from Emergency Services Director Doug <br />Wright dated April 16, 1992: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: James Chandler <br />County ist --or <br />FROM: Doug Wright Director <br />Emergency Services <br />DATE: April 16, 1992 . <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Changes to Rules and Regulations <br />of the Department of Emergency Services <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be <br />given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at <br />the nest regular scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Department of Emergency Services Personnel Rules and Regulations <br />were approved by the Board of County Commissioners on October 15, <br />1991, with an effective date of November 1, 1991. As a result of an <br />Attorney General Opinion and a transcription error, the changes as <br />noted need to be made to the Rules and Regulations. The changes <br />recommended are identified by strikeout for language to be deleted <br />and underlining for added language. <br />Section 3.04 (C) - Political Activity <br />The above section should be deleted per County Attorney Charles <br />Vitunac as a result of a Florida Attorney General Opinion relating to <br />Chapter 99.012, Florida Statutes <br />Section 9.06 (B) - Medical Leave Payments <br />All contract employees retiring in accordance with existing <br />retirement plans will receive as a bonus 100% of the base rate of pay <br />for medical leave days accumulated. This bonus will be paid in cash <br />upon the final payday as a reward for long and faithful service.
