PROCLAMATION <br />HONORING ELLIS B UCKNER, JR. ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM <br />INDIAN RIVER CO UNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES/FIRE RESCUE <br />WHEREAS, Ellis Buckner, Jr. retired from Indian River County effective July 28, <br />2014, and <br />WHEREAS, Ellis Buckner, Jr. began his firefighting career on May 12, 1989, as a <br />Firefighter. He became a Firefighter/EMT on September 28, 1990, and became a <br />Firefighter/Paramedic on April 4, 1994. On April 8, 2005, he became a Fire Safety <br />Inspector, and on October 1, 2005 he was promoted to Lieutenant Inspector with <br />Indian River County Fire Rescue. On October 2, 2009, he was reassigned to <br />Operations as a Fire -Medic, which is the position he held until his retirement. <br />WHEREAS, Ellis Buckner, Jr. has served this County and the Public with distinction <br />and selflessness. During his twenty-five years of service, he was dedicated and his <br />work was greatly appreciated by the employer, citizens, and co-workers alike; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />applauds Ellis Buckner Jr.'s efforts on behalf of the County, and the Board wishes to <br />express- their appreciation for the dedicated service he has given to Indian River <br />Countyfor the last twenty-five years; and <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of County Commissioners and staff <br />extend heartfelt wishes for success in his future endeavors. <br />Adopted this 19th day of August 2014. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDL4NRIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Teter(D.
