2. costs incurred in connection with tests or inspections conducted pursuant to paragraph 13.04.8 shall be paid as provided in said paragraph 13.04.13; 3. tests otherwise specifically provided in the Contract Documents. 13.05 OWNER May Stop the Work SC-13.05.A. Delete paragraph GC-13.05.A in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place: A. If the Work is defective, or CONTRACTOR fails to supply sufficient skilled workers or suitable materials or equipment, or fails to comply with permit requirements, or fails to comply with the technical specifications, or fails to perform the Work in such a way that the completed Work will conform to the Contract Documents, OWNER may order CONTRACTOR to stop the Work, or any portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated; however, this right of OWNER to stop the Work shall not give rise to any duty on the part of OWNER to exercise this right for the benefit of CONTRACTOR, any Subcontractor, any Supplier, any other individual or entity, or any surety for, or employee or agent of any of them. 14.02 Progress Payments SC-14.02.B.5. Delete paragraph GC-14.02.B.5.d in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place: d. ENGINEER has actual knowledge of the occurrence of any of the events enumerated in paragraph 15.02.A; or SC-14.02.B.5. Add the following sentences at the end of paragraph GC-14.02.B.5: e. OWNER has been required to pay ENGINEER additional compensation because of CONTRACTOR delays or rejection of defective Work; or f. OWNER has been required to pay an independent testing laboratory for subsequent inspections, tests, or approvals taken after initial failing inspections, tests, or approvals. SC-14.02.C.1. Delete paragraph GC-14.02.C.1 in its entirety and insert the following paragraph in its place: C. Payment Becomes Due 1. After the third sentence in paragraph GC-14.04A of the General Conditions, delete the remainder of paragraph 14.04A in its entirety and replace with the following: "If Engineer considers the Work substantially complete, Engineer will prepare and deliver to Owner a tentative certificate of Substantial Completion that shall fix the date of Substantial Completion.
