Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: May 61 1992 <br />SUBJECT: D.O.T. Requested Amendment .to Merrill Barber Bridge <br />Relocation Agreements - F . D . O. T . Parcels 101, 802, and 801 <br />On April 28, 1992 the Board of County Commissioners, by Resolution No. <br />92-65, authorized the Chairman to execute agreements with the Florida <br />Department of Transportation relating to the acquisition of permanent <br />easements and rights-of-way for the Merrill Barber Bridge relocation. <br />Subsequently, the F. D . O. T . has requested an addendum to the agreements <br />on Parcels 101 and 801 to incorporate provisions required by F.S. 287.058 to <br />be in every contract document which involves the procurement of contractual <br />services in excess of certain amounts. <br />These provisions may have applicability to Indian River County if it submits <br />invoices to D.O.T. for reimbursement for certain travel expenses, attorney's <br />fees, etc. associated with the County's acquisition of these properties. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Pass the attached Resolution authorizing the Chairman to execute the <br />Addendum to the Agreements between Florida Department of Transportation <br />and Indian River, County for the acquisition of rights-of-way and permanent <br />easements for the Merrill Barber Bridge, State Parcel Nos.. 101 and 801. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 92-70 and authorized the Chairman to <br />execute the Addendum to Agreement with Florida <br />Department of Transportation, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />COPY OF EXECUTED ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT <br />IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />8 <br />� � r <br />
