Regilations", with Attachment 1 (draft Ordinance), providing overview and analysis <br />concerning the Committees review and considerations of various issues, topics, and <br />data 'related to vacation rentals over the past several months and 5 committee meetings <br />effecting the proposed draft ordinance to be presented to the Board of County <br />Commissioners (BOCC) for consideration. He reminded the Committee the proposed <br />ordinance did not change the existing definition of vacation rental, the vacation rental <br />parking requirements or the prohibition of commercial events at a residence, adopted by <br />the B;OCC in September, 2015. <br />Mr. Glenn Heran arrived at 10:25 a m. <br />Chairman Powell suggested to break down discussions into two parts- (1) <br />discussion regarding occupancy limits; and (2) review of all recommendations. <br />.�t, g QC_. c �^ <br />ON MOTION BY Vice Chairman Paladin, SECONDED BY ce- <br />Dr. DeWaters, Sr., the members adopted staffs ►V, - <br />recommendations, excluding the sleep occupancy limit <br />portion of the proposed draft Ordinance. <br />UNDER DISCUSSION, lengthy discussions ensued by the Committee members <br />and the general public regarding additions and/or deletions to the proposed draft <br />Ordinance. <br />ON MOTION BY Vice Chairman Paladin, SECONDED BY <br />Mr. Curtis, the members voted unanimously (7-0) to <br />delete Section 1, Item 7.6 regarding posting of "Walk-in <br />clinic information" of the proposed draft Ordinance. <br />ON MOTION BY Vice Chairman Paladin, SECONDED BY <br />Mr. Curtis, the members voted unanimously (7-0) to <br />direct staff to reword Section 1, Items 6.d and 7.4, by <br />including reference with Chapter 974 regulations <br />compliance, and to include a brief description of day <br />and night decibel levels and the no disturbance hours. <br />ON MOTION BY Mr. Curtis, SECONDED BY Mr. Molinari, <br />the members recommended staff to add a requirement <br />for a Carbon Monoxide detectors for interior gas <br />appliances. <br />� tines, A WA <br />UNDER DISCUSSION, a statement was made by Mr. Taylor regarding the <br />definition of a public lodging establishment. <br />Dr. Conway announced he had a'statement to be read into the record; however, <br />he wished to reserve the statement for the end of conversation. <br />Short Term Vacation Rental/Unapproved March 17, 2016 <br />C:\Users\stan\NppOata\LocaMAicrosoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\3KNSCNNOWIinutes 3 17 16.docx <br />Attachment 5 164 <br />
