INTRODUCTION <br /> A. Purpose <br /> The purpose of this ESF is to coordinate the use of transportation resources <br /> to support the needs of local governments, volunteer groups and other <br /> emergency support groups requiring transportation assistance to perform <br /> their emergency response, recovery and assistance missions. <br /> B. Scope <br /> The provision of transportation support includes: <br /> 1. Performing necessary actions to assist with emergency evacuation <br /> and re-entry of threatened areas; <br /> 2. Processing all transportation assistance requests from the EOC; <br /> 3. Allocating and/or prioritizing public and private transportation <br /> resources for the transportation of people, materials, goods, and <br /> services to impacted areas.
