AUTHORIZATION OF LETTER WELCOMING MACHO TO INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />Chairman Eggert advised that this manufacturer of martial arts <br />equipment is currently located in Brevard County, but is very much <br />interested in.moving to Indian River County. The Council of 100 <br />has asked the Board to write a letter to Dudley Gordon, the <br />president of the firm, saying that we understand they are <br />considering moving to Indian River County and that we certainly <br />would welcome them here and that we would be glad to help them in <br />any way possible. They have over 100 employees now and expect to <br />double that over the next year or so. <br />Commissioner Wheeler advised that he recently toured the MACHO <br />facilities in Brevard County and believed their company has great <br />potential. He felt it would be appropriate to send a letter <br />welcoming them to our county and offering to help them in any way <br />we can. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Bowman being absent) authorized the <br />Chairman to write a letter to Dudley Gordon of MACHO <br />welcoming them to Indian River County and offering to <br />help them in any way we can. <br />68 <br />JUN 23 1992 <br />
