6. Coordinate with State EOC/ESF #11, authorized through the <br /> Emergency Management Director, issuance of U.S. Department of <br /> Agriculture (U.S.D.A.) food stamps, when appropriate. <br /> 11. POLICIES <br /> A. This ESF will be implemented upon notification of a potential/actual major <br /> disaster or emergency. <br /> B. Actions undertaken by this ESF will be guided by and coordinated with the <br /> EOC. <br /> C. This ESF will provide provisions for securing and delivering food and water <br /> supplies suitable for household distribution or congregate meal service, as <br /> appropriate. <br /> D. ESF#11 will arrange for the transportation and distribution of food and water <br /> supplies to service providers within the affected area. <br /> E. This ESF will coordinate with, and support as appropriate, ESF #6 (Mass <br /> Care) in mass feeding. <br /> F This ESF will encourage the use of congregate feeding arrangements as the <br /> primary outlet for disaster food, water and ice supplies. <br /> G. Priority will be given to move critical supplies of food into areas of acute need <br /> and then to areas of moderate need. <br /> 111. SITUATION <br /> A. Disaster Condition <br /> A catastrophic hurricane or other major disaster or emergency will deprive <br /> substantial numbers of people of water and access to and/or the means to <br /> prepare food.
