INTRODUCTION <br /> A. Purpose <br /> The purpose of this ESF is to coordinate the use of military resources to <br /> support the needs of local governments, voluntary organizations and other <br /> emergency support functions in performance of their emergency support <br /> roles during emergency response, recovery and assistance missions in a <br /> major or catastrophic emergency. <br /> B. Scope <br /> 1. The scope of Military Support operations is extremely diverse. The <br /> primary goal of the Military Support ESF is to prioritize all requests for <br /> assistance and allocate available resources based upon mission <br /> priorities as established by the EOC. Military Support operations <br /> include, but are not limited to, supporting the following ESFs: <br /> a. (ESF #1) Transportation. Support with surface and air <br /> movement of personnel and equipment. <br /> b. (ESF #2) Communications.
