assistance with the rent or mortgage <br /> payment. <br /> (2) Small Business Administration (SBA) <br /> Once implemented, the SBA program offers <br /> low interest loans to individuals and <br /> businesses for refinancing, repair, <br /> rehabilitation, or replacement of damaged <br /> property (real and personal). Loans may be <br /> available to businesses which have suffered an <br /> economic impact as the result of the disaster. <br /> An SBA declaration can be made <br /> independently or in concert with a Presidential <br /> Disaster Declaration. An independent or <br /> agency declaration requires a minimum of <br /> twenty-five homes or businesses with 40 <br /> percent or more uninsured losses or five <br /> businesses with substantial economic losses. <br /> (3) Individual and Family Grant Program <br /> The Individuals and Households Program <br /> provides grants of up to $32,900 (2014, <br /> adjusted annually to reflect changes in the <br /> Consumer Price Index) to help families meet <br /> serious needs and necessary expenses that <br /> are not covered by other governmental <br /> assistance programs, insurance, or other <br /> conventional forms of assistance.
