Back-up 9-1-1 Dispatch Center <br /> Overview <br /> The back up 9-1-1 Dispatch center is located in the Emergency Operations Center. <br /> This facility has been designed for use by the three (3) PSAPs located in the County <br /> (IRCSO, Vero Beach Police Department and Sebastian Police Department) in the <br /> event their communications facility becomes inoperable. <br /> Application <br /> This facility is suitable for communications and notifications across all hazards. <br /> Testing <br /> This facility is operational at all times and requires no testing. <br /> B. Public Warnings <br /> 1. Primary Systems <br /> a. Everbridge Emergency Notification System <br /> Overview <br /> Everbridge is subscription based service paid for by Indian River County Emergency <br /> Management. Emergency Management uses this system to contact the Emergency <br /> Support Function (ESF) personnel as well as sending notifications to the public who <br /> subscribe. The subscribers can decide how they want to receive their notifications <br /> as well as in which order the system sends out the messages to them. This system <br /> provides messages through multiple streams (i.e.: text message, phone calls, email) <br /> system provided free of charge to subscribers. <br /> Application <br /> This system is applicable across all hazards to notify IRCEMT members and key <br /> leaders of impending or occurring events. <br /> Testing <br /> Operational tests are validated during severe weather alert situations. <br /> b. National Weather Service NOAA Weather Radio <br /> Overview <br /> The National Weather Service broadcasts severe weather forecasts and warnings <br /> designed for the protection of life and property of the general public through <br /> C-9 <br />
