Organizational Cooperation for Development, Management, and Maintenance of the <br />Lagoon Greenway <br />Similar to the Lagoon Greenway on the western shore of the Lagoon, the Land Trust is <br />proposing a partnership to develop and manage a multi -use recreational trail at Oyster Bar <br />Marsh. <br />Three entities — the Indian River Land Trust, Indian River County, and the Indian River <br />Mosquito Control District have demonstrated their ability to cooperatively and effectively <br />provide the services needed to promote, manage and maintain the Oyster Bar Marsh Waterfront <br />Trail through their success with the Lagoon Greenway. <br />Greenway Partner Agencies <br />Indian River Land Trust <br />Indian River County Environmental Lands Program <br />Indian River Mosquito Control District <br />The Indian River Land Trust is willing to provide overall promotion, as well as coordination of <br />the project's development, long-term management and maintenance. Indian River Mosquito <br />Control is already providing routine maintenance of the dike. Indian River County Parks and <br />Recreation Department is currently managing garbage pick-up and gate opening/closing at <br />Round Island, one-half mile south of the proposed project. A memorandum of agreement <br />between Indian River County and the Indian River Land Trust would be created to establish <br />specific duties and obligations. <br />80 <br />
