Comprehensive Plan Economic Development Element <br />Policy 4.32: The County shall maintain its policies, regulations, information, and application forms <br />on the county website. <br />Policy 4.43: The County shall continue to maintain its database of capacity and demand information <br />for all concurrency related services and facilities. The county will use this database to program <br />capital improvements to ensure that all services and facilities have adequate capacity to <br />accommodate projected growth and development. <br />Policy 4.34: The County, through its Planned Development process and PD zoning, shall allow <br />industrial/business/technology/research park developers and the county to designate the type of uses <br />appropriate for applicable new industriaVbusiness/technology/research parks. <br />Policy 4.65: Through the time horizon of the plan, the county shall designate sufficient land on its <br />Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map for future commercial/industrial uses and shall provide <br />infrastructure (potable water and roads, and to the extent feasible sanitary sewer) for these lands to <br />facilitate development of industrial/business/technology/research parks within the county. <br />Policy 4.46: The County shall assist private industrial/business/technology/research park developers <br />to establish industrial/business/research/technology parks at the SR 60/I-95, CR 512/I-95, and Oslo <br />Road/741h Ave. commercial/industrial nodes, and at other appropriate locations within the county. <br />Assistance will include providing pre -application meetings to determine needs and requirements of <br />potential industriaVbusiness/technology/research park developers, expediting the permitting process, <br />assisting with appropriate grant applications, and providing information pertaining to available <br />incentives. <br />Policy 4.57: The County shall, as needed or as part of the Evaluation and Appraisal Report, re- <br />evaluate the size and location of its commercial/industrial nodes. The Commercial/Industrial Data <br />Source document shall be posted on the County's website. This document consists of planning, <br />zoning, and land use information helpful to businesses desiring to relocate. <br />Policy 4.98: The County shall be pro -active in assisting commercial and industrial developers <br />through pre -application meetings and Technical Review Committee meetings, by reviewing <br />procedures, identifying needed permits, and providing information and providing feedback to <br />applicants to expedite the permitting process. The county shall also assist applicants by providing <br />information on non -county required permits or reviews and provide contact information. <br />OBJECTIVE 5: Intergovernmental Coordination <br />By 2011, there will be an adopted Interlocal agreement between the County and the municipalities <br />that provides for coordinated economic development funding and economic development activities. <br />Community Development Department Indian River County 51 <br />177 <br />
