THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION, and the Motion passed 5-2; Heran <br />and Waldrop opposed. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION, regarding overall staff <br />recommendations to the proposed draft Ordinance, and the Motion passed unanimously <br />7-0. <br />Lengthy discussions ensued by the Committee members and the general public <br />regarding the number of sleeping occupants per bedroom allowed, the definition of an <br />adult, whether to consider the property size of the residence when determining <br />occupancy limits to ensure quiet enjoyment in a residential neighborhood. <br />ON MOTION BY Vice Chairman Paladin, SECONDED BY <br />Mr. Heran, the members recommended the occupancy <br />limits be set at two adults per bedroom, plus two adults, <br />not including children under 12. <br />UNDER DISCUSSION, opinions were voiced regarding total occupancy not <br />regulated, whether occupancy limits complied with septic tank standards., impacts of <br />short term rentals on neighborhoods, occupancy regulated by heads on beds and the <br />age limit of a child. <br />ON MOTION BY Vice Chairman Paladin, SECONDED BY <br />Mr. Heran, the members voted (2-5, Powell Molinari, <br />Curtis, Waldrop and DeWaters opposed) which FAILED <br />DUE TO THE LACK OF MAJORITY, to recommend the <br />occupancy limits be set at two adults per bedroom, plus' <br />two adults, not including children under the age of 16. 1 <br />o� <br />{ �Na CC, <br />ON MOTION BY Vice Chairman Paladin,.
