Dylan Reingold - County Attorney <br />DATE: June 28, 2016 <br />ATTORNEY <br />RE: Resolutions Delegating the Authority to the County Administrator or his Designee <br />to Call Letters of Credit and to Act on Behalf of Indian River County during the <br />time frames of July 13, 2016, through and including August 15, 2016, and August <br />17, 2016, through and including September 12, 2016 <br />The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners has canceled regularly scheduled meetings <br />during the two time frames of July 13, 2016, through and including August 15, 2016, and then again on <br />August 17, 2016, through and including September 12, 2016. During these two intervals, it is necessary <br />and desirable that the Board delegate to the County Administrator, or his designee, the authority to call <br />Letters of Credit that may expire during these two time intervals Further, it is necessary and desirable <br />that the Board delegate to the County Administrator, or his designee the authority to execute all other <br />documents necessary for the proper functioning of the County In Resolution No. 2015-127, the Board <br />delegated the authority to sign any resolution or proclamation of local emergency or state-wide <br />emergency that affects Indian River County, together with any and all emergency orders and other acts <br />required in connection therewith, to the County Administrator, or his designee Resolution No. 2015-127 <br />remains in full force and effect through December 31, 2016 Additionally, in Resolution No. 2015-128, the <br />Board delegated to the County Administrator or his designee, the authority to sign resolutions on behalf of <br />the Board to call letters of credit which may expire or otherwise require action to be taken during the <br />period of a declared state of local emergency or declared State of Florida emergency affecting Indian <br />River County. Resolution No 2015-128 also remains in full force and effect through the calendar year <br />2016. <br />Funding: <br />There is no expense associated with this item. <br />Requested Action: <br />Authorize the Chairman to sign the two Resolutions as presented, delegating the authority to call Letters <br />of Credit and delegating full signing authority during the periods commencing July 13, 2016, through and <br />including August 15, 2016, and also commencing August 17, 2016, through and including September 12, <br />2016, respectively. <br />/nhm <br />Attachments <br />Approved for July 5, 2016 BCC Meeting <br />CONSENT <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY <br />Indian River Co.
