Provide the mission statement and vision of your organization: <br />Mission Statement: <br />New Horizons of the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee delivers accessible behavioral and <br />primary health care services to children, adults and families to achieve mental and physical <br />wellness, thereby improving the quality.of life in our community. <br />V 11151U1 1. <br />New Horizons of the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee will become the preferred provider by <br />having engaged employees delivering evidence based and best practices, and by expanding <br />services in response to the needs of the community. <br />2. Provide a brief summary of your organization, including areas of expertise, accomplishments and <br />population served. <br />New Horizons began as a clinic in Indian River County over 58 years ago providing quality mental health <br />and substance abuse services for children, adults and their families. New Horizons provides a wide array <br />of behavioral healthcare services for residents of Indian River County ranging from community support <br />services such as housing, case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, and psychiatric services to <br />inpatient crisis stabilization and detoxification units. <br />New Horizons provides quality services many which are evidence based or best practice models. <br />Services are measured for effectiveness and meaningfulness to the client and there is a continuous <br />quality improvement model that is followed and reviewed. <br />New Horizons is licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (ARCA), Department of Children <br />and Family (DCF) and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities <br />(CARF). <br />a. ttner►y ust any cert►tications and/or accreditations obtained by your agency. <br />New Horizons currently manages 26 programs funded by the Florida Department of Children & Families <br />(through Southeast Florida Behavioral Health Network) and/or the Agency for Health Care Administration <br />to provide mental health and substance abuse services.
