Does your Board approve the annual budget and review regular financial reports of the operating budget and capital <br />funds?. How often is this review conducted? <br />N/A <br />2. Does any outside organization (such as a governmental unit) conduct periodic evaluations of the agency's finances, <br />management or programs? If yes, list the agencies. <br />The Department of Health's quality improvement team reviewed all our programs in January 2002 and, while identifying <br />opportunities for improvement, gave us an excellent rating overall. Since that time, we complete a county health <br />department snapshot that tracks performance indicators as part of the new quality improvement program from the <br />Department of Health, and have done well. In addition, four programs have been reviewed —Maternal and Child Health, <br />Family Planning, Immunization, and WIC- with excellent results. A county health department quality improvement <br />dashboard review of budget management, finance and accounting, contract management, general services, and human <br />resources, was completed in 2014, and the department did very well. <br />Indian River County Health Department ranked #1 amongst all county health departments in 2012 according to a selected <br />group of indicators from the Department of Health. <br />3.
