RESOLUTION 2014- 113 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br /> HONORING JONEAL MIDDLETON BY CHANGING THE <br /> NAME OF BLUE CYPRESS -LAKE PARK TO <br /> MIDDLETON'S FISH CAMP PARK. <br /> WHEREAS, the County is the owner of a 23 acre park known as Blue Cypress <br /> Lake Park located at 7400 Blue Cypress Lake Road; and <br /> WHEREAS, for the past 35 years Joneal Middleton, supervised, managed and <br /> maintained Middleton's Fish Camp in Blue Cypress Lake Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, Middleton's Fish Camp is the only fish camp on Blue Cypress Lake; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Joneal Middleton has operated his bait and tackle shop since 1979 <br /> offering fuel for boaters, a boat ramp, cabins and trailers; and <br /> WHEREAS, for the past 35 years, Joneal Middleton was the face of Blue Cypress <br /> Lake Park operating the park and fish camp with his easy demeanor and friendly <br /> personality; and <br /> WHEREAS, in recognition of his 35 year commitment to the operation of Blue <br /> Cypress Lake Park, it is fitting to re-name the park in honor of its long time operator; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of <br /> Indian River-County, Florida that: <br /> 1. By way of his 35 years of dedicated service to the users of Blue Cypress Lake <br /> Park, Joneal Middleton has made a significant contribution to the local community and he <br /> is recognized by his friends, customers and this Commission as a distinguished citizen of <br /> Indian River County. <br />
