Tuesday, July 14, 1992 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, July 14, 1992, <br />at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Carolyn R. Eggert, Chairman; <br />Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. <br />Commissioner Richard N. Bird was in Tallahassee on County business <br />and Commissioner Gary C. Wheeler resigned his office as of July 13, <br />1992. Also present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; <br />William G. Collins, II, Deputy County Attorney; and Barbara Bonnah, <br />Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Bowman led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert requested the addition of an emergency item <br />under Item 8 - Supervisor of Elections - approval of the creation <br />of a new voting precinct, No. 47. <br />Chairman Eggert announced the withdrawal of Item 12 - <br />Request from Sheriff Dobeck for Authorization to Advertise an <br />Ordinance Related to Civil Service Protection for Sheriff's <br />Employees - as this item requires a special act or general law <br />passed by the State Legislature. <br />Chairman Eggert requested the postponement of Item 13-A-1 -- <br />Wheeler committees - until a future meeting when four Board members <br />are present. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously (3-0, <br />Commissioner Bird being absent) added, withdrew <br />and postponed the above items. <br />BOOK 66 F'rltt � <br />JUL 14 1992 <br />
