Citizens were urged to prepare for the <br /> storm and various resources were provided to inform the public on disaster <br /> preparations,plans, and storm updates. <br /> County Administrator Jason Brown affirmed that preparations were underway for <br /> the possibility of Hurricane Matthew, and that staff would be communicating with <br /> County employees after the Board meeting. <br /> Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller Jeff Smith disclosed that should the storm <br /> occur, a contingency plan is in place to operate and pay bills. <br /> Commissioner O'Bryan announced that the Beachtown Music Festival, featuring <br /> Jake Owen, scheduled for October 7 and 8,2016, has been cancelled due to the <br /> hurricane <br /> Indian River County Florida Page 2 <br />
