Attachment 5 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVING THE INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE (AHAC) <br />2014 REPORT AND DIRECTING STAFF TO REVISE THE COUNTY'S <br />LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN AS NEEDED <br />WHEREAS, The County, on April 6, 1993, adopted ordinance 93-13, <br />establishing the county's Local Housing Assistance Program pursuant to section <br />420.9072, Florida Statutes and Rule 67-37, F.A.C.; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to revised Section 420.9076(4), F.S., each local <br />government participating in the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program <br />must prepare an Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Report that recommends to <br />the local governing body specific actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate <br />affordable housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory <br />Committee (AHAC) held a public hearing pursuant to the requirements of Section <br />420.9076(5), F.S., on November 19, 2014 to review the Affordable Housing Advisory <br />Committee's 2014 Report; and <br />WHEREAS, the AHAC at its November 19, 2014 public hearing voted to <br />approve the AHAC report and recommend that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approve the report; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee report <br />must be submitted to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation by December 31, 2014; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, per state requirements Local Housing Assistance Plans must be <br />revised every three years; and <br />F•\Community Development\SHIP\AHAC\AHAC 2014\AHAC 2014 report.doc 49 <br />94 <br />
