RESOLUTION NO. 2014- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVING THE INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE (AHAC) <br />2014 REPORT AND DIRECTING STAFF TO REVISE THE COUNTY'S <br />LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN AS NEEDED <br />WHEREAS, The County, on April 6, 1993, adopted ordinance 93-13, establishing <br />the county's Local Housing Assistance Program pursuant to section 420.9072, Florida <br />Statutes and Rule 67-37, F.A.C.; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to revised Section 420.9076(4), F.S., each local government <br />participating in the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program must prepare an <br />Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Report that recommends to the local governing <br />body specific actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee <br />(AHAC) held a public hearing pursuant to the requirements of Section 420.9076(5), F.S., on <br />November 19, 2014 to review the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee's 2014 Report; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the AHAC at its November 19, 2014 public hearing voted to <br />recommend that the Board of County Commissioners approve the report; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee report must be <br />submitted to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation by December 31, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, per state requirements Local Housing Assistance Plans must be revised <br />every three years; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the amended Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Plan <br />must be submitted to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for its review by May 1, <br />2015. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida THAT: <br />ATTACHMF"'T <br />
