Smith, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller <br />DATE: November 24, 2014 <br />SUBJECT: Dori Slosberg Driver Education Safety Act <br />Indian River County Traffic Education Program Trust Fund Report <br />Cumulative Reporting Through 9/30/14 <br />8B <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 20, 2002, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance Number 2002-026 creating <br />the Indian River County Traffic Education Program Trust Fund (our fund 137). This ordinance <br />authorized a $3 traffic ticket surcharge, which is collected by the Clerk of the Circuit Court. On <br />September 19, 2006, the Board adopted Ordinance 2006-035 to repeal this fine. <br />Attached to this memo is a report of the revenues and expenditures from the inception of the $3 fee <br />(October 1, 2002) through September 30, 2014.
