Brown <br />Director, Management & <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS <br />On August 19, 2014, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Applications for <br />Funding Assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for the Multi -Agency <br />Criminal Enforcement Unit (M.A.C.E.) and the Substance Awareness Drug Testing Program for <br />fiscal year 2014/2015. <br />Indian River County has received notification of the grant awards for the M.A.C.E. Program and <br />the Substance Awareness Drug Testing Program. The Certificates of Acceptance, which <br />constitutes official acceptance of the award, must be approved and received by the Department <br />within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the award and prior to the reimbursement of any <br />project expenditures. <br />For the current fiscal year (2014/2015), Indian River County was allocated $62,616 in federal <br />grant funds, with no match requirement. The amount of $5,366 has been approved for the <br />Substance Awareness Drug Testing Program and the balance of the award has been approved for <br />the Multi -Agency Criminal Enforcement Unit (M.A.C.E.) in the amount of $57,250. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the Certificate of <br />Acceptance of Subgrant Award for the Multi -Agency Criminal Enforcement Unit Grant in the <br />amount of $57,250 and the Certificate of Acceptance of Subgrant Award for the Substance <br />Awareness Drug Testing Program in the amount of $5,366. <br />33 <br />
