• <br />• <br />BOAT:CLUB : ISLAND (SPOIL ISLAND.IR-25 <br />AGREEMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT ANI) MAINTENANCE OF BOAT <br />CLUB ISLAND <br />THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this llth day of June 2013, •b and <br />between Indian River County, .a.political subdivision of -the State .of -Florida, 1801 27th Street, <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 ("County"). and GrandHarbor Community <br />Inc., a Florida <br />non-profit corporation, 4755 South Harbor Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32967 Association, <br />WHEREAS, on or about March 29, 2010, .the County entered into a Sovereignty <br />Submerged Lands. Lease ("State Lease") with the BoardofTrustees of the Internal Improvement <br />Trust Fund of the State of Florida, for use of the southern portion of Spoil Island IR -25, known <br />locally as "Boat Club Island" ("South IR -25"), a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Association has offered to enter intoon.arrangement with the County in <br />which -the County -and .the Association will share the cost of certain :improvements' on °South TR - <br />25, and.the Association will provide volunteer services to:clean-up and;maintain South1R-25, all <br />as set forth more fully herein; and - <br />WHEREAS, the County desires to accept the Association's offer, recognizing that the <br />arrangement will result in a public — private cooperative effort which will benefit, and provide <br />increased recreational opportunities for, the residents of and visitors .to Indian River County, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, .the receipt and =sufficiency <br />of which is hereby acknowledged, theparties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. RECITALS. The above recitals are true and correct, and are ,incorporated Therein. <br />2. DOCKS. The parties shall confer and develop a; plan to repair the southernmost <br />dock on=South -1R-25 ,to --a condition which:is suitable forpublic use, and; to: remove: the remaining <br />two -docks .which are currently in :a -state of mutually nacceptable <br />Upon development :of a :mutually <br />acceptable ;plan;. and ;receipt of o: 'table proposal ,for constriction services, -the <br />County .shall ,a)apply: for grant <br />- a from Inland Navigationpistrict;(" t a'�), which <br />grant -amount? is-estinaated.tolbe:in the amount -cif -$7,500, and y permits;(other <br />than- a building (b) apply forany permit) which may be -necessary to implement the: plan.
