• <br />LAWS OF FLORIDA 2221 <br />Section 120. All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act <br />are hereby repealed. <br />Section 121. This Act shall go into effect immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Governor or upon its becoming a law <br />without such approval. <br />Approved Nay 24, A. D. 1929. <br />CHAPTER 14440—(No. 876). <br />AN ACT to Prevent and Make Unlawful the Movement into <br />Volusia County of Honey Bees in Certain Forms • of hives, and <br />Prohibiting the Movement of Certain Equipment into the <br />County Prior to Inspection by a County Bee Inspector, and Pro- <br />viding for an Inspection Fee, and Prohibiting the Placement of <br />Apiaries Within One Mile of Established Apiaries and Author- <br />izing the Board of County Commissioners of Volusia County, <br />Florida, to Appoint an Inspector of Bees and Declaring Hov, <br />His Compensation Shall be Fixed and Paid. <br />• Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: <br />• <br />Section 1. From and after the passage of this Act it shall be <br />unlawful to ship or move into Volusia County, Florida, any honey <br />bees in log gums or other form of hives, not permitting of the <br />ready removal of frames and it shall be unlawful for any used <br />bee -keeping equiment to be moved or shipped into the said Volusia <br />County, Florida, until an Inspector from the County has inspected <br />the said used bee -keeping equipment and has certified to the ap- <br />parent freedom of the bees, their combs and hives, from con- <br />tagious and infectious diseases and the said certificate must be <br />based upon an actual inspection of the bees and used bee -keeping <br />equipment so attempted to be moved into the County. <br />Section 2. That all persons who are not taxpayers in Volusia <br />County, Florida, and who desire to ship or introduce honey bees <br />into Volusia County, Florida, shall be required to pay an in- <br />spection fee of One ($1.00) Dollar per hive, per year for having <br />or moving honey bees into Volusia County, and in case of partner- <br />ships owning or operating any apiaries in this County where any <br />one partner is not a taxpayer within this County, the non-resident <br />member of such partnership shall pay the fee required by this <br />Act to the County. <br />13i <br />
