Swan <br />Supervisor of Elections <br />Indian River County <br />September 22, 2016 <br />The Honorable Bob Solari <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />Indian River County <br />1800 27`h Street <br />Vero Beach, FL 32960 <br />Dear Chairman Solari: <br />The 2016 Legislature appropriated $3,000,000 from the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) <br />funds to be distributed to Supervisors of Elections based on a formula using the number <br />of active registered voters in each county as of the 2012 General Election's book closing. <br />Enclosed please find a Certificate Regarding Matching Funds. This document certifies <br />that the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners will provide matching <br />funds for the Federal Election Activities Grant for FY 2016-2017. The matching funds <br />are 15% of the amount to be received from the state. For Indian River County, the <br />matching fund amount is $3,797.08. <br />In order to receive the Federal Election Activities Funds, the Legislature requires that the <br />Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners certify that the county will match the <br />state funds of $ 25,313.85 with the 15% county match of $ 3,797.08. I have enclosed the <br />Certificate Regarding Matching Funds for your signature.
