o <br />PRO LLAMA TION <br />HONORING THOMAS VANNOYON HIS RETIREMENT FROM <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES/FIRE RESCUE <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Vannoy retired from Indian River County Fire Rescue effective <br />November 4, 2016, and <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Vannoy began his career on November 29, 1986, as a firefighter. <br />By the early 90's, he had obtained his Emergency Medical Technician and Dive <br />Rescue Certifications. Thomas Vannoy rapidly achieved distinction as Firefighter of <br />the Year in 1992 for his heroism when a boat capsized in rough seas at the Sebastian <br />Inlet. As a result of his rescue efforts, three lives were saved. Thomas Vannoy was <br />promoted to Driver/Engineer in 1991 and served in that capacity until his retirement. <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Vannoy has served this County and the Public with distinction <br />and selflessness. During his thirty years of service, he was dedicated, and his work was <br />greatly appreciated by the employer, citizens, and co-workers alike; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />applauds Thomas Vannoy's efforts on behalf of the County, and the Board wishes to <br />express their deepest gratitude for the dedicated service he has given to Indian River <br />County for the last thirty years; and <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of County Commissioners and staff <br />extend their sincerest wishesfor success in his future endeavors. <br />Adopted this 1st (lay of November 2016. <br />r` T BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />r- INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />d <br />F <br />41, Bob olari, Chairman <br />r. <br />6r <br />'f :6 <br />O�ro <br />
