permanently ceased, but in no case more than 7 days after the construction activity <br />in that portion of the site has temporarily or permanently ceased. In addition to <br />other temporary erosion control measures that may be implemented, application of <br />polyacrylamide is required on all such disturbed areas within 7 days after the <br />construction activity in that portion of the site has temporarily or permanently <br />ceased, unless final landscaping has been installed. Polyacrylamide application <br />shall be as specified herein. <br />D. Inspect each pollution control system at least once per day and after each rainfall <br />event. Clean and maintain each pollution control system as required by its <br />manufacturer or the OWNER, until the system is no longer needed. If a water <br />quality violation occurs, immediately cease all work contributing to the water quality <br />violation and correct the problem. <br />E. Discharge shall not violate State or local water quality standards in the receiving <br />waters, nor cause injury to the public health or to public or private property, nor to <br />the Work completed or in progress. The receiving point for water from construction <br />operations shall be approved by the applicable owner, regulatory agency, and the <br />ENGINEER. <br />F. Promptly repair all damage at no cost to the OWNER. <br />1.4 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings of the proposed pollution control and treatment <br />systems in accordance with Section 1340. <br />B. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan. <br />1.5 STATE CERTIFIED EROSION CONTROL SPECIALTY SUBCONTRACTOR IS <br />REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE <br />A. State Certified Erosion Control Specialty Subcontractor is Required for Installation <br />and Maintenance: Installation and maintenance of all erosion and stormwater <br />pollution control devices, shall be by a State Certified erosion control subcontractor <br />who specializes in the installation and maintenance of such devices. After <br />installation, this specialty subcontractor shall maintain the erosion and stormwater <br />pollution control devices until in the ENGINEER's sole opinion, the devices are no <br />longer necessary (such time not to extend past the date the OWNER formally <br />accepts the project as complete). Before beginning construction, submit to Indian <br />River County for review and approval, a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan <br />(SWPPP), prepared by the certified erosion control subcontractor.
