ADDENDUM NO. 2 AUGUST 1, 2014 <br />SECTION — 1000- WATER AND SEWER UTILITIES <br />A. Water Utilities <br />The water utilities for this project shall be constructed per the "Indian River County <br />Department of Utility Services Water & Wastewater Standards", March, 2014. This <br />document can be obtained online at www.ircutilities.com <br />Relocation of existing fire hydrants shall include the cost of all pipe, fittings, retaining <br />rods, trenching grading, and incidental items associated with relocation. <br />B. Sewer Utilities <br />The sewer utilities for this project shall be constructed per the "Indian River County <br />Technical Specifications", March, 2014. This document can be obtained online at <br />www.ircutilities.com <br />1. Bid Item 425-6A Air Release Valve Adjustment of the ITEMIZED BID <br />SCHEDULE shall include: <br />The existing non -traffic bearing Air Relief Valve (ARV) vaults are to be replaced <br />with 5 -foot diameter concrete vaults with an internal coating of SewperCoat by <br />Kernos per manufacturer's specifications. The rings and covers will be 36" x 6" <br />H -Tec Ergo XL ductile iron traffic bearing covers and rings. See standard detail <br />M-7 per the "Indian River County Technical Specifications", March, 2014. This <br />document can be obtained online at www.ircutilities.com <br />C. Earthwork and Backfill <br />Compaction - All fill must be compacted by hand tamping from under the pipe up to the <br />center line. Backfill shall be compacted in 6" lifts up to the surface to achieve a <br />minimum compaction of 98 percent of maximum density in roadways and shoulders <br />and 95 percent in easements, in accordance with AASATO T-180 and D-2167. <br />D. Ductile Iron Pipe and Fittings <br />1. General: <br />All ductile iron pipe shall be manufactured in accordance with AWWA <br />Specifications C-150 & C-151. All buried ductile iron pipe shall be <br />manufactured in accordance with AWWA Specification C-151 and shall <br />be Class 52 minimum. All exposed ductile iron pipe shall be Class 53 <br />minimum. <br />2.
