Gray, Jr. <br />Coastal Engineer <br />Indian River County Public Works <br />1801 27th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Phone: (772) 226-1344 * Email: igrav(&,ircgov.com <br />WORK ORDER: No. 5 <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Daily sea turtle permit -compliance monitoring along <br />approximately six (6) miles of beach from R-24 to R-55 in Indian River County, <br />Florida during October and November 2014. Monitoring 3 days per week during <br />October is currently being conducted under separate contract to Indian River Co. <br />(Work Order No. 4). This proposal is for the remaining 18 days in October and <br />all of November. Any nests encountered, as of September 4, 2014, will be <br />relocated to a safe, suitable habitat outside the project area in accordance with <br />FWC guidelines. All relocated nests will be evaluated for reproductive success. <br />Additionally, EAI will perform one pre- and one post -construction lighting survey <br />of the project area, as required by Special Condition No. 27 of the FDEP permit <br />(0285993 -008 -JN). Results of the survey will be provided to the County in a <br />format mutually agreed upon. <br />PROJECT DURATION: October 2014 — February 2015. <br />COSTS: All work will be performed in accordance with the provisions of the <br />Professional Coastal Environmental Services Agreement, dated March 19, <br />2013, between Indian River County and Ecological Associates, Inc.
