Thompson, P.E. <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Purchase of Construction Trailer <br />Indian River Boulevard Phase IV <br />DATE: July 27, 1992 - FILE:-� trailer.agn <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Attached is a sales agreement for the purchase of a 10' x 36' <br />mobile office trailer. This trailer is needed for the <br />construction inspector during the construction. of Indian River <br />Boulevard. When the construction of the Boulevard is completed, <br />it will be used for the construction of 41st '.Street and 45th <br />Street from US 1 to Indian River Boulevard and other future road <br />construction projects. <br />The following quotes for the purchase of a used office trailer <br />were received: <br />Acton Mobile Industries <br />10 x 36 (1985) $3,800 <br />8 x 32 (1990) $5,400 <br />Modulaire <br />10 x 36 ( 1983) $3,000 <br />The air conditioner on the 1983 Modulaire was in better condition <br />than the 1985 Acton. The total cost of the Modulaire delivered <br />and installed on site is $3,465. <br />Quotes were also solicited for fencing the trailer site as <br />follows: <br />Wood N. Nichols $5,850 <br />Adron Fence $5,590 <br />Betlar, Inc. $6,488 <br />The fencing will consist of 8' chain link topped with three <br />strands of barbed wire. The trailer site is located at the <br />northwest corner of 45th Street and Indian River Boulevard. This <br />site was acquired by the County from Grand Harbor for a proposed <br />future fire station. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve purchase of a 10 x 36 trailer from Modulaire at the <br />installed price of $3,465. <br />22 <br />
