Tuesday, August 4, 1992 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, August 4, 1992, <br />at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Carolyn K. Eggert, Chairman; <br />Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Barbara <br />Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Eggert called the meeting to order. <br />Rev. John Harrington of Christ United Methodist by the Sea <br />gave the invocation, and Administrator Chandler led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert requested the addition of a Public Hearing to <br />consider a proposed Ordinance on Fire Prevention Code Standards. <br />The Public Hearing was advertised, but it was inadvertently <br />left off the Agenda. <br />Administrator Chandler wished to withdraw until a further time <br />Item 14-C -- the Waste Stream & Assessment Study -- as staff would <br />like the opportunity to take a tighter look and see if we can get <br />that cost down further and bring it back to the Board. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously added <br />and withdrew the above items. <br />PROCLAMATION AND PRESENTATIONS <br />e <br />Proclamation - "Job Training Partnership Act Alumni Recognition <br />Month" <br />Chairman Eggert read aloud the following Proclamation and <br />presented it to Commissioner Bird who accepted it on behalf of Sam <br />Patterson, who could not make today's meeting. <br />4 <br />BOOK s <br />9 F,iGt .�P <br />
