SECTION 29 <br />WATER AND SEWER EQUIPMENT IN EKCLUSIVE CONTROL OF <br />UTILITY DEPARTMENT <br />The operation and maintenance of all buildings, equip- <br />ment and apparatus belonging to the water and sewer systems of <br />Indian River County shall be solely and exclusivel• in the charge <br />of the County Administrator and Utility Division and shall not be <br />molested, tampered with, or trespassed upon by any other person <br />whatsoever. <br />SECTION 30 <br />PERMIT REQUIRED TO DRAW WATER FROM FIRE HYDRANTS <br />A permit shall be required from the County Administrator <br />or his designee before water is drawn from any fire hydrant or <br />other service outlet, except by the fire department in the regular <br />discharge of its duties, and only after arrangements have been <br />made for payment to the County for water so drawn at a just and <br />reasonable rate. <br />SECTION 31 <br />PROHIBITION AGAINST DAMAGING EQUIPMENT <br />It shall be illegal and subject to the punishment pro- <br />vided herein for any person to maliciously, willfully or negli- <br />gently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface or tamper with any <br />structure, appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the Indian <br />River County water or sewerage systems. <br />SECTION 32 <br />REQUIRED INSTALLATION OF BACK FLOW PREVENTION DEVICES <br />All new residential, commercial or industrial customers <br />requesting service from the Indian River County water system shall <br />first be required to install back flow prevention devices for the <br />protection of the Indian River County potable water system. Such <br />devices will meet specifications adopted by the Indian River <br />County Utility Department. <br />SECTION 33 <br />POWER AND AUTHORITY OF INSPECTORS <br />- The Utility Director and other duly authorized employees <br />of Indian River County bearing proper credentials and identifica- <br />tion shall be permitted to enter upon all properties for the <br />-23- <br />
