If the leachate is classified as a hazardous <br />waste, it shall be managed in accordance with Rule 62-730, FAC. <br />Offsite Treatment <br />Offsite treatment is provided by the Indian River County Utilities Western Subregional <br />Wastewater Treatment Facility. <br />Onsite Treatm nt <br />Onsite leachate treatment or pretreatment is currently not required or used. <br />Con ' gencv Plan <br />The Landfill Operator has a contingency plan to handle leachate collection, removal, <br />and disposal problems. If the forcemain cannot be used, arrangements are in-place to <br />truck leachate to the offsite wastewater treatment plant. If the West Subregional Plant <br />will not accept leachate, it will be trucked to the North County WWTP or the Gifford <br />septage treatment facility. Leachate can temporarily be stored in the landfill cells over <br />the liner with notification of an emergency to the FDEP. <br />OyantitieA <br />Quantities of leachate collected by the leachate collection and removal system are to be <br />recorded in gallons per day from the leachate forcemain flow meter.
