Tuesday, August 18, 1992 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, August 18, 1992, <br />at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Present were Carolyn R. Eggert, Chairman; <br />Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr. Also present were James E. Chandler, County <br />Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia <br />Held, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Peter LaBarre, Retired, Trinity Episcopal Church, led <br />the invocation, and Commissioner Bird led the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert requested the addition of Item 13.A.1., <br />regarding the Legislative Delegation Meeting and Item 13.A.2., the <br />District IV seat on the Board. <br />Commissioner Bowman requested the addition of Item 13.B. <br />regarding the post enumeration survey to adjust the census figures. <br />County Administrator Jim Chandler requested the addition of <br />Item 11.B.3., regarding the chemical spill at 4th Street. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously added the <br />above items to the Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />Chairman Eggert read aloud the following Proclamation <br />designating August 22, 1992 as Homeless Animals' Day in Indian <br />River County, Florida. <br />
