LETTER: Jillanne Harrington, Manpower, to Tom Bissillon <br />dated Aug 10, 1992 <br />DATE: August 12, 1992 FILE: inspect.agn/p2 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On June 23, 1992, the Board approved an administrative fee of <br />$10,800 _ (18% of $60,000 salary for 18 months) as proposed by <br />"Treasure Coast Personnel" employment agency to administer the <br />payroll and related employment services for the Indian River <br />Boulevard Phase IV inspector, Bill Howard. Since that time, the <br />agency has gone out of business. The Personnel Division received <br />the same fee quotation of 18% from Manpower Temporary Services <br />which results in the same cost of $10,800 for the 18 month <br />period. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Accept the proposal by Manpower Temporary Services at a cost <br />of $10,800 for the 18 month period. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Seek additional proposals. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends Alternative No. 1 whereby the proposal by <br />Manpower Temporary Services to administer the payroll function of <br />the project period. Funding shall be from Fund 309 Indian River <br />Boulevard - North Project fund. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />accepted the proposal by Manpower Temporary Services <br />to administer the payroll function and related <br />employment services for the 18 -month period for Bill <br />Howard, inspector, on the construction of Indian <br />River Boulevard, Phase IV, at a cost of $10,800, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />51 <br />HOOK <br />
