i <br /> SECTION 01610 <br /> TRANSPORTATION AND HANDLING OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT <br /> G. Immediately on delivery, the CONTRACTOR shall inspect shipment to assure: <br /> 1. Product complies with requirements of Contract Documents and reviewed <br /> submittals. <br /> 2. Quantities are correct. <br /> 3. Containers and packages are intact, labels are legible. <br /> 4. Products are properly protected and undamaged. <br /> 1.3 PRODUCT HANDLING <br /> A. Provide equipment and personnel necessary to handle products, including <br /> those provided by OWNER, by methods to prevent soiling or damage to <br /> products or packaging. <br /> B. Provide additional protection during handling as necessary to prevent scraping, <br /> marring or otherwise damaging products or surrounding surfaces. <br /> C. Handle products by methods to prevent bending or overstressing. <br /> D. Lift heavy components only at designated lifting points. <br /> E. Materials and equipment shall at all times be handled in a safe manner and as <br /> recommended by manufacturer or supplier so that no damage will occur to <br /> them. Do not drop, roll or skid products off delivery vehicles.
