Gentile C.E.T. <br />Civil Engineer <br />Public Hearing for the Paving & Drainage Improvements to <br />the Roads in Floral Park and Ranch Estates Subdivisions <br />August 13, 1992 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On July 28, 1992 the Board of County Commissioners adopted <br />Resolution No. 92-133 providing for certain paving and drainage <br />improvements to the roads in Floral Park and Ranch -Estates <br />Subdivisions. <br />The County Public Works Department has received a new petition for <br />a public improvement assessment for road paving and drainage <br />improvements for the roads in Floral Park Subdivision and Ranch <br />Estates Subdivision. This petition was received in June, 1992 and <br />supersedes the original petition. There are presently 23 homes in <br />Floral Park and Ranch Estates Subdivisions. Owners of 16 homes <br />have signed the petition making 70% of the property owners, who <br />actually live in the benefited area, and 37% of the total square <br />footage of the benefited area, in favor of having these roads <br />paved. They are also requesting an extension of the payment <br />schedule from 2 years to 5 years. <br />On July 28, 1992, the Board of County Commissioners -adopted another <br />Resolution 92-134 setting the date and time for a Public Hearing to <br />discuss the advisability, cost and amount of the assessment against <br />each property owner. This hearing is scheduled for September 1, <br />1992. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />assessment roll, and confirming resolution with changes, if any, <br />made after input at the September 1, 1992 Public Hearing. Revised <br />confirming resolution and assessment roll will be forwarded to <br />Chairman of the Board for signature. The Assessment Roll and <br />assessment plat are on file with the Clerk to the Board of County <br />Commissioner's office. <br />36 <br />
