7c <br />Consent Aaenda <br />Indian River County <br />Interoffice Memorandum <br />Office of Management & Budget <br />To: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />From: Michael Smykowski <br />Director, Office of Management & Budget <br />Date: January 10, 2017 <br />Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 005 <br />Description and Conditions <br />The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following: <br />1. Due to an increase in taxable value after the Fiscal Year 2016/17 budget was adopted, an <br />increase in the Community Redevelopment Districts has become necessary. The attached <br />entry appropriates funding in the amount of $738 from General Fund/Reserve for Contingency. <br />2. Roseland Community Center repairs are higher than originally anticipated. The attached entry <br />appropriates funding in the amount of $15,000 from General Fund/Reserve for Contingency. <br />3. According to Florida Statute 113.07, when public officials are required to post fidelity of <br />performance bonds, such bonds must be written by a surety company. The attached entry <br />appropriates funding in the amount of $3,500 from General Fund/Reserve for Contingency. <br />4. It has become necessary to replace the eleven year old metal detector at the Courthouse. <br />The attached entry appropriates funding in the amount of $5,000 from Court Facilities <br />Surcharge Fund/Cash Forward Oct 1st <br />5. On June 7, 2016 the Board of County Commissioners approved the FEMA Assistance to <br />Firefighters Grant in the amount of $856,819 with a match to be provided by Emergency <br />Services District/Cash Forward Oct 1st in the amount of $85,681. The attached entry <br />appropriates these funds totaling $942,500. <br />P98 <br />
