CONSENT AGENDA ID <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: February 6, 2017 <br />SUBJECT: Florida Department of Law Enforcement <br />FY 2016/2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice <br />Assistance Grant (JAG) Program <br />Contract No. 2017-JAGC4NRI-5-F9-033 <br />JAG Award No. 2016 -MU -BX -0073 <br />Certificate of Acceptance of Subgrant Award <br />Attestations and Certifications <br />FROM: Michael Smykowski <br />Director, Management & Budget <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS <br />On July 12, 2016 the Board of County Commissioners approved the Applications for Funding <br />Assistance from (FDLE) Florida Department of Law Enforcement for Federal Fiscal Year <br />2016/17 to fund local anti-drug abuse projects. For fiscal year 2016/2017 the County's local law <br />enforcement agencies decided to divide the grant dollars of $61,136 as follows IRC Sheriff - <br />$12,228, City of Vero - $12,227, PD, Fellsmere PD - $12,227, Sebastian PD - $12,227, Indian <br />River Shores Public Safety - $12,227. <br />Indian River County received a letter dated January23, 2017 from Florida Department of Law <br />Enforcement awarding the Indian River County Sheriff's Office $12,228.00 for the project <br />entitled, IRCSO Shooting Incident Crime Scene Reconstruction Project. Florida Department of <br />Law Enforcement requires that Certificates of Acceptance and Attestations and Certifications be <br />signed and returned back to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement within thirty (30) <br />calendar days from the date of the award and prior to the reimbursement of any project <br />expenditures. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the Certificate of <br />Acceptance of Subgrant Award and the Attestations and Certifications and authorize the <br />Chairman to execute these documents. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Letter from Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement <br />Certificate of Acceptance of Subgrant Award <br />Attestations and Certifications <br />P32 <br />
