STAGE, JR.
TOWN CLERK
LAURA ALDRICH
TOWN ATTORNEY
CHESTER CLEM
As a status update, you are probably aware that the Town Council has recently declared the 5.35
acre (combined) vacant parcels of land located at 5110 State Road A -1-A, Indian River Shores,
Florida as surplus. Furthermore, they have determined to attempt to dispose of it by auction.
Indian River Auctions and Appraisals, LLC, has been selected to market the property, with an
anticipated sale in April. Their representative has met with each of the Council members
individually, and understands that their objective is to have the lowest density residential property,
with insignificant traffic impact.
The Town's Planning, Zoning and Variance Board will hear from them regarding their plans for
achieving this objective at the meeting on Monday, February 13 at 2 p.m. If it meets with the PZV
Board's approval, it will be forwarded to the Town Council for final approval at the February 23`a
meeting,
Since the deed from the County to the Town (OR BK 987 page 0043) includes a right of first
refusal by Indian River County to purchase the property from the Town of Indian River Shores,
we will keep you apprised of the status, especially at the conclusion of the auction.
Very sincerely,
Robert H. Stabe, Jr.
Town Manager
cc: Board of County Commissioners
Dylan Reingold, County Attorney
Internal (Town Council, Attorney, Treasurer)
P61
