5t <br />PROCLAMATION <br />Indian River County Celebrating Children's Week <br />WHEREAS, the 22nd Annual Children's Week celebrating Parents and Children will take <br />place in Tallahassee from March 26 to March 31, 2047, bringing thousands of parents, children, <br />professionals, policy makers, and community leaders together to share valuable knowledge and <br />information about children's issues across the state and in our Capital City; and, <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of Children's Week is to create a shared vision of the State of <br />Florida's commitment to its children and families, and to engage a Tong -term process to develop <br />and implement strategies; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Children's Week Committee has teamed up with statewide businesses and <br />non-profit organizations, including the Early Learning Coalition of Indian River, Martin, and <br />Okeechobee Counties, Camelot Community Care, Devereux CBC, Guardian ad Litem, and other <br />local organizations to expand the network of community involvement on a wide array of children <br />and family issues at the local level. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that March 26 — 31, 2017, be recognized <br />and hereby declared as "Children's Week" in Indian River County. <br />Adopted this 14th day of March 2017.
