RESOLUTION NO. 91- 73 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR <br />THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ASSESSMENT <br />FOR STREET LIGHTING LOCATED IN <br />GLENDALE LAKES SUBDIVISION, <br />PROVIDING THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST, <br />METHOD OF PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS, <br />NUMBER OF ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS, AND <br />LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA <br />SPECIFICALLY BENEFITTED. <br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Department has been <br />petitioned for the establishment of a street lighting district <br />located in Glendale Lakes Estates Subdivision; and <br />WHEREAS, street lighting has already been installed but <br />a Street Lighting District will not be established prior to <br />October 1, 1992; and <br />WHEREAS, funding for the lighting is to be by special <br />assessment prior to establishment of a District; and <br />WHEREAS, the Street Lighting by special assessment <br />funding is authorized by Section 11-21, 11-22, and 11-41, Indian <br />River County Code of Laws and Ordinances; and cost estimates have <br />been prepared for a first time assessment to fund street lights <br />for a twenty-two month period at a cost of FIVE THOUSAND SIX <br />HUNDRED THIRTY ONE DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($5,631.00) and a cost <br />per parcel for street lighting improvements is SEVENTY DOLLARS <br />AND THIRTY-NINE CENTS; for the twenty-two month period; and <br />WHEREAS, after the twenty-two month period, an annual <br />estimate of TWO THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED SIXTY FOUR DOLLARS AND NO <br />CENTS ($2,964) and a cost per parcel for street lighting <br />improvements is THIRTY SEVEN DOLLARS AND FIVE CENTS ($37.05) have <br />been completed by the Public Works Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment shall become due and <br />payable at the Office of the Tax Collector of Indian River County <br />ninety (90) days after the final determination of the special <br />assessment pursuant to Section 11-47, Indian River County Code of <br />Laws and Ordinances. If not paid within ninety (90) days, <br />assessment shall bear interest beyond due date at a rate <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />
