SPECIAL- MEETING <br />Wednesday, September 9, 1992 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission Chambers, <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida on Wednesday, September 9, <br />1992 at 5:01 o'clock P. M. Present were Margaret C. Bowman, Vice <br />Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Absent was <br />Carolyn K. Eggert, Chairman, who was in the hospital. Also present <br />were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, <br />County Attorney; and Patricia Held, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner Don <br />C. Scurlock, Jr. led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Chairman Bowman announced that this is the first of two public <br />hearings and this first hearing is to discuss and adopt the <br />Tentative Budget for Fiscal Year 1992-93. <br />County Attorney Charles Vitunac advised that formal notice of <br />the meeting was given through the mailing of the Truth In Millage <br />(TRIM) Notice and the Notice of Non -Ad Valorem Assessments for 1992 <br />to all Indian River County taxpayers. <br />Chairman Bowman _announced that County Administrator Jim <br />Chandler will review the budgets and millages, and explain <br />pertinent details.
